Basically the convention didnt have much to learn, did learnt bits and pieces from different companies such as Friendster, Google, Hi 5 etc....
Man its gonna be so late after the event when i reach home later, hopefully it will end earlier than expected. Gotta continue to do up project proposal tmr. Blog again later...

Today is quite a relaxing day, basically all the lessons are E Learning which i have went through during the weekend. Left my house for school at about 9 plus going to 10, reached around 10 plus. Went to the discussion room and here am I here sitting here and blogging.
I am really wondering what would the convention be like at SMU later. A large conference hall which can contain a lot of ppl? It seems like the waiting list is like 100 plus.... hmm looks like it is quite a popular event among the developers in SG. Hope that i am able to grasp more technology about google and maybe implement into my projects ahead...
Looks like i have to go brush up my programming skills now while i still have some time...

Did IT 3110 E quiz just now, it was a relatively easy one after doing the tutorial 2 and 3 last nite. Its hard to imagine that i actually spent my long weekend mugging and studying for most of the time.
What i did:
- E Practical for IT 3113
- Conversion of all my tutorials that were discussed into soft copy as the ones i wrote down are all scribbled down
- Doing E Quiz
- Com Skills ppt slides draft (have a week to make it better)
- IT 3110 Tutorial 2 and 3
hmm lets see what i am short of doing this week's tutorial for IT 3111, IT 3112, IT3113. Most likely i will get it done in 2 hours hopefully. Tmr is google convention hope it turns out well for me somehow ya. Back to mugging, really unusual of me to do so sometimes. will blog again after im done with it.

Somehow i was determined enough to do several stuff, weekend breezed past as fast as it came.... did housework in the morning till afternoon, then went out for a jog with the usual few...went arcade and had "tea" before jogging as they just ended their project....
Throat was sore and seems like sinus caused it again, man it caused me not to be able to jog properly..need to get well to continue my exercise regiment...the day ended with a match of dota with ais.
Sunday, woke up watched some anime, then did up a draft version of change management for com skills. Lazed around doing nothing much while reflecting on certain stuff that i need to resolve or shelve away into the back of my brain somehow....oh well i guess i shall go back to review tutorial and practical , short term reliver for being stressed up with so many things to do with so little time

Weather: Rainy and Moderately cold
Class as usual and left school bout 3 plus for home after NE Lecture. Nothing much on these days. Life has become a cycle for me doing work the whole day.. i seriously need some rest.
Went to guitar just now reached home about midnite, shacked like crazy now, just had a bath, luckily i completed my tutorials already. Now i have 2 probs which kinda suck since its like week 2. Apparently i am in charge of organising GC now, which kinda wierd, i am seriously not of the top of the posting in GC commitee why choose me of all ppl wierd huh. I have like 2 VPs in GC what are they doing to the extent that i have to intervene and take over.
2nd prob, i cant think properly for project ideas, cant seem to squeeze some creative ideas for project. Security is definitely alien for me the time being, man im tired, gonna sleep soon.. till then ...

Weather: Downcast and Rainy
Lets start from Friday, went home after school and "tabaoed" lunch home to eat. Left house to head down to Red Dynasty Khatib paintball area. The rest arrived slightly late and we proceeded on the briefing on how to use the equipments. After briefing the real test began. It was quite an adrenaline rush the game. it is a fast game which which requires wits and teamwork. The second round was slightly better as i managed to aim better. The wind played a factor in the shooting as compared to real guns, paintballs actually are affected by the wind somehow. Had dinner and took bus 853 home.
Saturday came and went as fast, did housework the whole day i guess, mopped floor, sweep floor and doing laundry. Went to YCK sakura after that for dinner more for my cousin 21st bdae. Was kind of unlucky to a certain extent, someone spilled a cup of drink at the back of me. Luckily it splashed at the back of my leg and slippers only. Went home after that. Dotaed and majonged at home as they were short of a person.
Sunday came, woke up late had brunched and the day continued. I proceeded to do some work. Dont really look forward to going to school tmr. Back to usual lifestyle of having lunch and break wanderlessly around. Its kind of awkward i guess.
I didnt went to run both days as i wanted, today it was basically pouring the whole day. Leg injury seemed to be acting up for don't know what reason. HOpefully it gets better than i can go back to training.
Kind of trying to get inspired to do something, maybe i should just go get somework done. Those tutorials etc. Lets see how it goes.

First day didnt start out as well as i wanted i guess. First lesson project period, urgh, hated that to come. Being the only 08 member in that class kinda makes life difficult for me. Though i do have some aquaintance in the class none of them i really know. Therefore, i have had to take step forward and ask around. It took be like three attempts to join a group. The OPP group from period 1 formed a group with a world skills guy, then the beijing group stuck together there left me dangling around.
So what i did was to analyse my surroundings, trying to filter out those groups that have better prospects. I actually figured out who are the ones that have potential that i can work with therefore i decided to join in a three man team which consists of 2 guys from the mashup competition from fyp and another guy who worked security throughout first semester. Renjun also joined the group which makes the team full. The day ended with me kind of pretty much alone the whole day during both breaks. Lunched at South canteen before joining the other 0608 at Koufu after they were released early. Went off at about noon to head for classes. Then again i stoned for like an hour before the next lesson.
The last class was quite interesting though without notes it kind of make stuff tougher but oh well guess its just the first week. Received smses asking me to go back to GC to help. I am considering to help with the planning as mentioned by them. Wonder how is the situation now. So many VPs around should be alrite i guess.
Well i think this semester maybe quite mental testing for me as basically it is like being in a year 1 class again. Sort of not able to fall back on any friends if i missed out on any parts during lectures of tutorials. Will see how it goes in the coming weeks. There are a lot of checkpoints in betweeen so i think this semester project may just require to push a bit. Well i guess i am going back to read up on Python since class starts late today. Although i could have gone school early to visit the library, i guess i would just research online then. Till then will blog again

Had a run with the usual beside bishan canal, met up at mrt with ryan and kel at mrt and xx at the stadium. We ran till the end of the canal as usual then to the hawker centre to have our usual fish soup.
I forgotten when but there was one time when jogging certain thoughts went through my mind, cant rmb exactly what but guess running helps to destress a bit.
What i did today, after the run housework, learning Python language somehow i needed to have some basic knowledge of it before 28 oct for the Google convention. Really wonder what is going to happen as i proceed on to the new semester. New classmates basically new grouping for me , no one is in the same track as me. Hopefully all goes well.
Listening to Mi Lu Bing album hopefully it would be good.
Time to go back to read some Python notes. Will Blog again.

Had been looking forward to this day to come, waking up slightly later than usual, no need to wake up early and rush out to work...
I probably stoned the whole day, spent the whole day at home, took a nap in the afternoon, probably needed to rest quite a lot, havent been taking long breaks without doing anything or worrying about anything since like maybe 5 months ago.
Indeed it is quite true that it does feels a bit empty when not going to work. With the stress levels there at client side certainly makes life tougher. While taking a nap as usual several stuff went through mind, reflecting on what is going on for the 5 months, how did it changed my life.
Stating from like maybe the starting of Semester 1, when i first entered the lecture hall, looking at my name on the screen, solo poject. Mashup Using Web Ontology, i did not even have any idea what was i going to do. Much discipline needed to do stuff alone, and of course it is much more stressful than usual as i have to do everything myself without having anyone that can guide me through the journey of FYP. Not forgetting the preparation that i have to go through to plan my OPP trip which was also quite a hassle. I also had to push to get good rates for air tickets and insurance.
However it all came to a halt when i was about to go off. The Sichuan earthquake had occured and there our trip was cancelled from then. It was a disappointing moment for me although i had did my best to try to go to another location even for like a month. My attempt failed which kind of terrible. I had given up my chance to go Suzhou or Beijing with my classmates to go to Chengdu. And also going through the interviews and meeting of directors to manage to grab a spot in the Period 2 team. Guess life is just like that, sometimes one does not get what he reall hopes in life.
After that here comes the splash awards, went to help out the competition event, was quite nice to know some ppl there. Learnt a bit more about the industry slighty and what those SIM students learnt. Also learnt more about the Mashup technology.
After that specific saturday, wrapping up of my project, it was quite fufilling for myself as i managed to complete a wiki with partial information on plugins. Managed to come out the basic features of the plugin of the Mashup Creator.
Attachment was then next on the list. My OPP teacher broke the news that we are all doing local attachment instead which i kind of expected. So the attachement went on just like that.
Had attachment for about 3 months. It certainly had its ups and downs. Late nights trying to rush out project tasks assigned to me. Test cases and testing at the later parts certainly took a toll out of me. Although i dont sleep so early, i do not work that late at night when not neccessary. I had clocked like abouty 200++ OT throughout my attachment which seems incredibly high.
My team was quite great although it seems stressful everytime when i am client side. I was based at client side for about a month. Closing issues with client is certainly tring and stressful. It is necessary to be tactful in whatever u tell the client. I have had to ensure that the system was bug free then i can close the issues otherwise i would risk opening much more issues than closing a issues.
Chalet and going to batam after that was a bonus. Going night cycling and going to batam Holiday inn.
Oh well what a journey it was. Back to school next week would be more challenges for me. Going into a class that i do not know anyone would certainly be tough. These thoughts certainly made me think back the choice i made were correct.
Some thoughts i had been thinking, if i had went to college instead of overseas attachment, how would everything turned out...would i have been just the person i am now? Did i make a wrong choice of going into IS instead of Finanacial although i had been given a second choice to repick my specialisation? Would i have been happier doing the stuff than i am doing now?
Regrets or happiness, personally it just a thin line across. Although deep down sometime it feels crushed for cetain reasons.

Its been a good chalet, everything falled into place as i kind of planned and organised it out. As the main organiser, would like thanks everyone who helped to make this chalet a successful one.
Let me share some of what was done during the chalet:
First Day
Arranged for everyone to meet at Serangoon interchange at 1 pm. Reached the interchange and met MC, YM and IZ. The rest which includes YX, Samantha,XX and Ryan. We bought drinks, tidbits and took cabs down to Costa Sands Pasir Ris. Arrived for check in at 2.30 pm, got the room key and went ahead to open the door after some routines. Placed bags upstairs and went ahead to clean the floor and matteress. After that we headed out to explore Pasir Ris, went to EHub to grab some snacks, was starving then cause did not have lunch before that...we went to rent bikes after that, quite a good weather to cycle as it was pouring throughout the whole day till around 5.30pm, after that there was not any rain.
Luckily there was not any rain, and the cycling trip to get dinner and towards changi village was also quite smooth with no one injured or having any major falls. Firstly we went ahead to cycle out for dinner at the coffee shop then cycling around the estates. Headed back and had rest while waiting for the next batch of ppl which includes XH, SH and Esther. YM and I headed out to pick them up at Cheers while hunting for Insecticide. There were so many cockroaches around when we headed back , so having and insecticide would be much better. At 12.30 am we headed out to changi village. It was about 4 to 5 hours trip back and forth with breaks in between. Lightsticks served their purpose quite well i guess able to see each other positions in the night.
Second Day
Took a bath about 8 plus to 9. Then proceeded on to have breakfast while some went to sleep. Got the bbq pit from the cafeteria. We bought frozen food and drinks and etc for the nights bbq. Some stayed in the chalet to rest. After going back, cleared the table and rubbish as there were quite a lot of ants around. Skewered the hotdogs, sotong and prawns. Prepared the pit and fire and everything continued on from there. Cooking was done in shifts, and more headed down after work and school. There was a bdae celebration for oct babies with them recieving their own presents. BBQed till bout 3 am. Everyone went to sleep about 3 plus to 4 i guess. Then we all proceeded on the sleep.
Third Day
For me, i cant get to sleep, seems like the aircon is quite cold should have brought my jacket. Spent quite some time staring into the ceiling while alarms for HPs start to ring. Went ahead to look at the sunrise..then everyone stoned till check out... Managed to cleared and clean up some utensils while some took a rest... Had cup noodles as breakfast after walking to look at the sunrise..XH and IZ had brunch as some of us took a drink....after that we went to take bus at our usual 53 bus stop.
So three days just ended...it was really an enjoyable experience for me...Had much fun during the chalet...hope there would be a next one soon.
I did my laundry and my house laundry at the same time so that the clothes wont stink. Went to buy lunch for my lunch while my washing machine did the rest of the washing, had beancurd and rice balls for lunch. After having dinner and hanging up clothing, it was like 4 pm or even later. Had a bath and took a nap till bout 7.
Here am i blogging now...chalet was another point that i did took some point to reflect on some stuff. For me, i guess some stuff are just meant to be this way. Time to take a step back and stop dreaming i guess.
